DeKalb County Public Library to Host Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom

Event at Stonecrest Library to Fea­ture Sto­ries, Musi­cal Per­for­mances and More

DECATUR, Ga. – (June 13, 2023) – DeKalb Coun­ty Pub­lic Library is host­ing June­teenth: A Cel­e­bra­tion of Free­dom to reflect, learn and cel­e­brate the resilience and achieve­ments of the African Amer­i­can com­mu­ni­ty. The pro­gram will include read­ings, food, poet­ry, sto­ries and a screen­ing of the PBS doc­u­men­tary June­teenth Jam­boree: How We’re Cel­e­brat­ing Now.

It will be held on Sat­ur­day, June 17, 2023 begin­ning at 5:30 p.m. at Stonecrest Library. Stonecrest Library is at 3123 Klondike Road, Stonecrest, Geor­gia 30038

The event is free and open to the public.
