Judge Glenda Hatchett to Headline Return of DeKalb County Public Library’s Local Author Expo

DECATUR, Ga. — (March 17, 2026) — DeKalb County Public Library announced today that its popular Author Expo is returning after a five-year hiatus. The event will provide an opportunity for more than 30 local independent authors to share their work and for readers to hear their stories.
The event will take place Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library. Television icon Judge Glenda Hatchett and author and entrepreneur Pamela Toussaint Howard will deliver keynote addresses about their writing journeys.
“The Author Expo affirms our commitment to DeKalb’s home-grown talent by bringing readers and local writers together for a day of book signings and discovery,” said Alison Weissinger, director, DeKalb County Public Library. “We hope that readers come away with some great books and inspiration, and that authors leave with knowledge, tools and connections so they can take their writing to the next level.”
“I am delighted to be part of the DeKalb County Public Library’s Author Expo,” said Judge Glenda Hatchett. “Celebrating the works of authors while engaging directly with the community is a powerful reminder that stories not only entertain us; they bring us together in magnificent ways that strengthen communities.”
DeKalb Library Foundation is providing support for the event. Please note that all author tables are reserved. The Author Expo is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit dekalblibrary.org.
