About the GED Test
Paper tests in Georgia were discontinued April 1, 2013. Subject tets passed before January 1, 2014 are no longer valid.
Computer-based tests are available for both new and repeat test-takers. Test takers 18 years and older are not required to provide proof of withdrawal from school.
Register online any time at GED.com or call 1.877.EXAM GED (1.877.392.6433) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When you register, you can select the date, location and subjects for testing. You also may cancel or reschedule online or by phone up to 48 hours before your scheduled test appointment. Each test must be paid for by credit or debit card at time of registration.
Tests are currently available in English and Spanish.
As of July 1, 2012, the fee for each of the five subject tests has increased to $40.00 for a total cost of $160.00 for the entire test series.
Important Facts to Remember
You can re-test on one or more subject tests of the GED after taking each subject test once. There is not a waiting period between the first re-test. Re-test fee is $20.00 per subject test.
