Celebrate Black History Month with documentary movies! Join us as we watch and discuss a different documentary each week.

February 5: Good Hair, starring Chris Rock, Maya Angelou and Al Sharpton. Rated PG-13, 2009. This films explores the wonders of African-American hairstyles. 

February 12: Dark Girls, starring Stephanie A., Soren Baker and Ronald Boutelle. Not Rated, 2011.  This film explores the deep-seated biases and attitudes about skin color.

February 26: I Am Not Your Negro, starring Samuel L. Jackson. James Baldwin and Harry Belafonte. Rated PG-13, 2016. This film tells the story of race in modern America.
