Join us as we celebrate the work of renowned "Bluesologist" Gil Scott-Heron. This creative writing experience hosted by DeKalb's own award winning poet and writer Gwen Russell Green, will explore the theme, "No matter how far wrong you've gone, you can always turn around" from Gil Scott-Heron's last commercially released work I'm New Here. This year's event offers a poetry competition for tweens and teens ages 11-19 with first and second place cash prizes! Please call or stop by the library for participation guidelines.
