The Decatur Library is hosting a series of author talks during the AJC Decatur Book Festival. All programs are presented by WABE.

Noon-12:45 p.m. Strong Women Surive History. Authors Laura Kamoie, Susan Rivers and Natasha Boyd will dicuss some of history's strong women. 

1:15 p.m.-2:00 p.m. The Next Class of Recruits: Fictional Assassins and Counterterroist Organizations. Authors Jonathan Maberry and Ward Larsen will discuss espionage, stealth assassin skills, and fictional counterterrorist organizations.

2:30 p.m.-3:15 p.m. Lillian Smith Awards. The recipients of the 2017 Lillian Smith Awards will be honored.

3:45 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Navigating Life in the Big City. Graphic novelists Mimi Pond and Leslie Stein take storytelling to a new level in the big city. 

5:00 p.m.-5:45  When the Past Comes Back to Haunt You. Secrets are bursting at the seams the small southern towns of these authors-- Anna Schachner (Between You and I and Someone Else), Sarah Creech (The Whole Way Home) and Karen Spears Zacharias (Christian Bend).
