Doris K. Wells Heritage Festival
The Doris K. Wells Heritage Festival is an annual celebration of the diversity of the community served by DeKalb County Public Library. The Festival was first created in 1983 by the late Doris K. Wells, as the Kwanzaa Awareness Festival at the Scott Candler Library. The purpose of the Festival is to honor, share and learn about the diverse cultural heritage of DeKalb County residents through special programs including music, dance, food, crafts and more. The festival begins in December and continues through January 2020. Check out the list of events here.
