Library FAQs

The library buildings are closed however we continue to serve library patrons in the following ways:

The library provides online access to a variety of resources including books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and learning tools.

Wireless access is available from all DeKalb County Public Library branches during the hours the library would typically be open.  Please stay at least 6 feet away from others while at the library.

Call us at 404-508-7190, Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Leave a message and a staff member will return your call.

Please do not return library materials that you currently have checked out, unless they’re digital!  Library book drops are currently closed. Fear not! The library is renewing items and will not be charging late fees while closed.

Tax assistance at library branches has been suspended.  For more information on agencies that help with free tax assistance and when they will resume services, visit the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program, or call them at 1.888.227.7669 for updates, or  VITA and Tax Counseling for the Elderly, or call 800.906.9887. Also remember that the tax deadline has been extended to July 15, 2020.
