English as a Second Language
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes provide basic through advanced instruction in the speaking, reading, writing, grammar and syntax of English for speakers of other languages. Click here to see a list of ESL classes at the library.
Library Programs & Services
The Library provides print and audiovisual materials for ESL students and tutors; computers with links to learning resources; and space for tutoring, classes and meetings.
We also have test preparation for the TOEFL Test. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is used in college and university settings. More information is available at the Official TOEFL Website: toeflgoanywhere.org
Mango Languages offers classes in English through the DCPL website. This resource can be used on any library computer. It can also be used on a computer outside the library with your DeKalb County Public Library card number and PIN.
